An absolutely stunning pair of Mid 20th Century Italian Ceramic Whippet Sculptures. These pottery whippets are presented with a thick black collar and red tassels against a white glazed body. They are each sitting upright on a brown base. These pieces are beautifully made with clear muscle definition and life like details. The pair presents some glaze imperfections which is normal for handmade Italian pottery of this age. The Whippets are hallmarked on the bottom with the number 35. The whippet breed of dog is related to the larger breed of the greyhound. This stunning large pair will surely make a conversation piece wherever placed in the home.
