Found in the South of France, this Late 19th Century French Giltwood Wall Mirror was crafted in the late 1800’s in the grand Louis XVI style. Often referred to as a marriage mirror or “miroir de mariage” because of its size and symbolic carvings that represent union and love. The piece features an ornate giltwood crest exhibiting flowers, foilage and a Sacred Heart. The original mirrored glass shows some spotting and crazing which is typical for its age and only adds to the charm of piece. The mirror is ready to be placed on the wall with a simple eye hook and can easily be wired accordingly.
