Found in Provence, this 19th Century French Louis Philippe Giltwood Wall Mirror was crafted in the late 1800’s. The piece features a giltwood frame accented by a unique grayish color that allows the gilt to be seen from beneath. The mirror is characterized by rounded upper corners and a beaded inner molding which is in the grand Louis Philippe style. The original mirrored glass shows some spotting and crazing which is typical for its age and only adds to the charm of piece. The mirror is ready to be placed on the wall with a newer wired backing.
