Found in the South of France, this 18th Century French Walnut Writing Work Table dates back to the late 1800’s. The piece features a hinged top which lifts upward to reveal an integrated mirror on the underside. The main internal well contains specialized compartments for storage and exhibits unique pull-out side tabs that house an integrated brass candle socket and a padded pincushion. The lower slide drawer is outfitted with a red embossed leather writing surface and storage compartment. Each compartment retains its original working lock and key. The table rest on elegant lyre-shaped legs and finished with brass casters. This 19th Century French Walnut Writing Work Table with its warm aged patina can also be used as a small side table and will make a statement piece in all interior styles.
