Found in the South of France, this 19th Century French Oak Cabinet De Confiture or jam cabinet was handcrafted of solid old growth oak. The piece features a beveled edge top resting over a single panel carved door and is raised on sled style feet. The door opens to reveal ample storage space and retains its original working lock and key. Confitures were originally used to store jams and marmalades and are extremely versatile cabinets. Smaller than a buffet or chest of drawers, this type of cabinet can be used for storage in any room.
