This 19th Century English Fireside Bench or Footrest was crafted in the late 1800’s from old growth walnut. The piece features an as found upholstered top secured with brass tacks resting on a handcarved elongated base and finsihed with four carved cabriole feet. The hand carved detail on the base and legs present and intricate design and a desirable aged patina. These benches were often referred to as Carriage Stools and were placed beside the fireplace to warm your feet. Today, this 19th Century English Walnut Fireside Bench Footrest would compliment any room of the home.
