Found in Italy, this 18th Century Italian Walnut Bench dates back to the late 1700’s. The piece features a hand-carved scalloped back leading to solid side arms and ending with a trunk style base. The bench opens to reveal ample storage and was lined with burlap at some point in its lifetime. The piece exhibits its original hand-forged iron hardware and locking mechanism with no key available. Two diamond shaped carvings are on the front with center Heraldic style crosses in each. The back shows old carvings of someones initials which only adds to the charm of this old world bench. Strong and sturdy, this 18th Century Italian Walnut Bench with its warm aged patina will make a statement when placed in all interior styles.
